Frequently asked questions

Which smart trainers work with HomeRoad?

Any smart trainer that speaks Bluetooth FTMS (Fitness Machine Service), which covers most current models from Wahoo, Tacx/Garmin, Elite, Saris, JetBlack, Zwift and others. HomeRoad uses its SIM mode to reproduce the gradient and its ERG mode for workouts.

Which sensors and controllers can I pair?

Bluetooth power meters, cadence sensors and heart-rate straps, and the Zwift Play controllers. During a ride a keyboard can stand in for the controllers. Pair them in the Sensors tab; each session connects the ones you last used on its own.

Where do my routes come from?

Any GPX file: from Strava, Komoot, Garmin Connect, RideWithGPS, PlanifyRoutes or your own device. Import it from the Routes tab.

How do I get my rides into Strava or Garmin Connect?

Every ride is saved as a standard .fit file. Export it from the activity in the History tab and upload it wherever you like, or turn on automatic upload to intervals.icu.

What do Strava, intervals.icu, PlanifyRoutes and DualAnalyzer add?

Strava shows your starred segments and your best efforts while you ride. intervals.icu brings your FTP and planned workouts and receives your rides. PlanifyRoutes brings your nutrition plan. DualAnalyzer compares two power meters in detail. All are optional and you connect them in Settings.

How does the free trial work?

For 14 days after you first open HomeRoad everything is unlocked. After that the app stays free with the basics, and HomeRoad Pro unlocks the rest with a single purchase.

I bought HomeRoad Pro on another device. How do I get it here?

Open Settings → HomeRoad Pro and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. The purchase is shared through Family Sharing too.

Can I move my settings to another device?

Yes. Settings → Backup exports your settings, dashboards, controller layout and sensors to a file you can import on the other device.
